This week on The Not Mini Adults Podcast - "Pioneers for Children's Health and Wellbeing" we talk to technologist Christian Koerner. Christian is the Digital Lead for the Copenhagen University Hospitals and was, up until recently, the Technology Scout for the soon to be brand new Copenhagen Children’s Hospital.
The new hospital is in the process of being built and will be for children, adolescents and also pregnant women. It will accommodate up to 900 patients as well as 1,200 doctors, nurses and other staff members. Here is a link to a video depicting the hospital.
The hospital emphasises the power of play as an integral part of medical treatment and the scheme for the building takes the form of two hands grasping together to support the various aspects of paediatric care.
